End of the day

A few minutes at night for an inventory of your parts: which ones showed up today, when you were Self-led, and when you were not.

5 steps, drawn from 3 books on IFS.

Checked: each step was read against the book passages it rests on, and stays inside them.

Read every step first
  1. An inventory, at the end of the day. At the end of the day, you can take a few minutes for an inventory of your parts. It can help you stay in touch with your inner system from one day to the next.
  2. Who showed up. Which parts showed up today? Write down the ones you noticed, by name or by what they did.
  3. When you were Self-led. When were you Self-led today? A moment with some calm, curiosity or clarity counts, even a small one.
  4. And when you were not. And when were you not? That is a time a part took the lead. Write it down the same way, as something you noticed.
  5. That is the inventory. If a part stood out today, you might check in with it on another day.
