Walks ยท one sitting, about 5 min
A thank-you to the one who looks after
A short walk to find the part that looks after other people, thank it for what it did if that is honest, and ask whether it is tired or wants you to know anything.
6 steps, drawn from 7 books on IFS.
Checked: each step was read against the book passages it rests on, and stays inside them.

- Thanks, if it is true. For the part that looks after other people, at the end of a day or any time. This walk asks for nothing from it. It thanks it, if that feels honest.
- Let it settle. Take a moment where you are. Notice the chair at your back and the floor under your feet. A breath or two, if that helps.
- Find it. Focus on the part that looks after people. Where do you notice it, in your body or around your body?
- A thank-you. If it feels honest, thank it for what it did. Say it in a way that is true for you. Then notice how it takes that.
- Does it get tired? Ask it whether it gets tired, and whether there is anything it wants you to know. Wait for its answer. If nothing comes, that is okay too.
- Before you go. Thank it for being here, and for whatever it showed you. If you plan to come back, let it know, only if you mean it. When you are ready, return to the room: feel your feet and look around.
